Owen Hauck has been a research analyst at the Peterson Institute for International Economics since July 2015. Hauck works with Senior Fellow Angel Ubide on central banking and monetary policy issues, the economic affairs of the European Union, international finance, and macroeconomic policy. He has economic analysis experience from internships with the international affairs division of the US Treasury Department, the agricultural affairs and commodity policy section of the Office of the US Trade Representative, and the Grassroots Business Fund. He received his master's degree in international economic relations from American University's School of International Service in 2015, where he focused on political economy and econometrics. He received his bachelor's degree in economics and political science from Western Washington University in 2012.
