Egor Gornostay, research statistician and quality control coordinator, joined the Peterson Institute for International Economics as a research analyst in September 2015. He works with Senior Fellow David Stockton on issues related to monetary policy and central banking. His prior work experience includes a summer internship at KPMG in New York, where he worked in the Office of the Chief Economist and conducted quantitative and qualitative analysis on current economic and policy developments. He received a master's degree in economics from New York University in May 2015, where he completed all the necessary course work for the PhD program. There he focused on macroeconomics and financial economics. He earned another master's degree in economics from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom in 2011. He is a native speaker of Russian.
